Claims Examination Support
Standard protocol for a life claim is to obtain a death certificate and, in those cases that may involve diseases with symptoms that could have occurred prior to the application, to also obtain an APS. PDC structures APS Summary information in a format that expedites decision making by the claim examiners. An APS summary will eliminate duplicate records, as well as highlight observations regarding potential preexisting conditions, symptoms or concerns previously expressed by the insured.

As an additional option, we can also identify “speed” decisions where no concerns exist or highlight those where claims can be denied or where more information is needed to possibly decline a file.  Lastly, our underwriters have the product and claims experience required to evaluate the validity of a Mortality or Morbidity claim, as well as claims for Waiver of Premium or Accelerated Benefit.
